Bio

Nitza Shawriyeh's passion for photography is a natural offshoot from her experience in interior design.   Having lived in Santiago, Chile, New York, San Francisco, and Paris, Nitza captures these diverse cultures and locales in her world of photography.  

Nitza specializes in nature found in urban environments, and she incorporates architecture in some as an extension of that nature.  Currently she captures the almost bygone remnants of antique New York's fine residences, ivy covered walls & fleeting moments of ethereal flowering plants & trees.  

After working with private dealers and collectors, she now launches her photography website to share her passion with a wider audience.  Stay tuned to see her work soon in Art Fairs & Galleries also.  In the meantime you might see her combing through the residential neighborhoods of Manhattan accompanied by her long haired Dachshund Sylvie.

Artist Statement

There are so many beautiful things that we need to capture at a moment’s notice.

Seeing these beautiful things through my interior designer eyes has led me to see photographs as I see my design projects….all the wonderful colors, materials, and light that led me to put a beautiful room together, also leads me toward creating equally expressive photographs.

Photography has led to another world of beauty and surprise.  I hope I can lead you there with my work.
